Fun & Games Friday takes it easy with an event that promises maximum fun with minimum planning time, execution effort, and expense.
As you continue to build your party supplies inventory, remember you can recycle some of your “oldie but goodie” supplies and give them new life within your new party theme.
In addition to reusing event supplies, remember these other important ways you can make recycling a priority when entertaining:
- Take the time to properly store leftover food from events, so it can be enjoyed after the party.
- Use real china, glassware, and flatware rather than disposables. If disposables are more practical (e.g. no area for cleaning and/or storing dishes), purchase disposables made from recycled materials. WWBFYS! (Whatever Works Best For Your Situation)
- Use e-mail when possible to communicate event details to guests. You’ll save paper, toner, and ink if you avoid printing flyers or invitations for each invitee.
- Provide a separate receptacle for bottles, cans, and plastic at events. Encourage guests to take the extra step to put recyclables in their place. They’ll feel great that they are doing their part to save our planet, even while attending a party!
Fun & Games Friday takes family game night around the kitchen table on a field trip to the conference table. Candy and competition are the key ingredients in this thrill filled day. Fun & Games Friday is an event that virtually runs itself. Enjoy the simplicity of this party and don’t forget to join in on the fun.
